COLOUR: Deep burgundy with a brick red hue.
AROMATICS: Sweet spicy aromas of black currants and dark chocolate.
PALATE: Mixed berry compote with sweet spice and chocolate flavours supported by dusty tannins on a long finish.
OAK MATURATION: 30% new French Oak for 16 months.
VINTAGE 2017
The growing season started well with good flowering. Overall temperatures were cool, slowing the ripening period. Rain came early before harvesting and disease pressure was high. However, flavours are elegant and fine. Not all the grapes were harvested due to the unfavourable weather, of those that were, the rewards are elegant and aromatic wines with long lingering finish.
